Het doel van het boshistorisch symposium van 22 november 2012, 'Lessen uit het Verleden en Vragen voor de Toekomst', was de stand van zaken te achterhalen van het onderzoek naar de Nederlandse bosgeschiedenis. Daarnaast werd gezocht naar een overzicht van toegepaste en gewenste onderzoeksmethoden, en naar de bruikbaarheid van deze methoden. Tot slot werden vragen voor het toekomstig onderzoek geïdentificeerd.

Reflection and synthesis of the results of the symposium Forest History

The purpose of the symposium Forest History on November 22, 2012, 'Lessons from the Past and Questions for the Future', was to get an overview of where the investigation of the Dutch forest history stands now. Also it was a search for a list of required and applied research, and the usefulness of these methods. Finally, questions for future research were identified.
